Hi, my name is Laura Melville I am 35 years old.

I have lived in Townhill since I was 14 and I have always worked closely with the local community.

I am Chair of the ‘friends of paradise park’ group and I also run the summer playscheme. I am also a member of the steering group for the Local People Project.

Due to covid 19 our annual playscheme couldn’t go ahead as planned and when I was approached to run the Townhill Summer Club, I was over the moon.

I feel the children of Townhill and Mayhill need these activities so I was very pleased with the aspect of starting a new summer club.

We try and vary our sessions so there is something for every child to enjoy and learn a new skill. We have run cooking, funky pump, website and social media, football, crafts, and forest school full-day sessions…The children have all enjoyed this five-week programme.

Every day we take part in a community mile walk around Townhill and Mayhill area and we have great numbers turning up without fail. Ages range is from 2-69 so it is something for everyone and I have loved seeing the kid’s faces when we have a surprise visit from Spiderman and Captain America from SuperHero Patrol.

Hello my name is Drew-nicole Bowles i am 11 years old and i enjoy dancing. My dance school name is Raie Copp Academy. i love dancing because it is very fun and enjoy it.

I live on Elwy cresent with my Mam, Dad and siblings. My favorite colour is red,blue and purple because they are very bright colours. I have 2 dogs named Daisey and Penny and i love them very much.

My siblings names are Leo,Tilly and Ty my bother Leo is 6 years old and Tilly and Ty are twin aged 5.

This week i have participated in funky pump and walk a mile and was really fun today was really fun because Spiderman and Moana thank you to Laura and all other Pheonix staff.
